Effective designs and eye-catching solutions to inform and inspire your audiences. Our work includes branding, campaigns, websites and corporate literature.
Playne Creative is committed to minimising our impact on the environment in response to our socially-aware client base in the campaigning, public and not-for-profit sectors and as an outcome of our good practice as a socially responsible company.
We recognize that our work has the potential to impact upon the environment. We are committed to doing what we can where we can and will always seek to do more.
The objective of this policy is to generate habits and procedures that reduce the negative impact of our activities and we undertake initiatives and standards to minimize that effect.
We will work with suppliers who have procedures in place to minimize environmental impact.
We take a positive stance towards our environment by doing what we can where we can: our website is now hosted using a solar-powered data centre.
This enables everything regarding a project to be kept tidily in one place, in a digital format. With everything always at your fingertips, the need to print out numerous documents is greatly reduced.
Our team comes together only on a job-by job-basis. This minimizes the need for travel and helps us to consume less as a company.
We will seek to purchase items that are energy efficient and will donate redundant equipment to charities or organizations, who will reuse/recycle.
Where possible our consumable items will be from sustainable sources – for example, we buy Fairtrade tea and coffee, and cleaning products with no (or low) solvent content.
Playne Creative does not provide company cars or flights. We encourage travel by public transport or bicycle when appropriate.
We actively source recycled consumables wherever possible.
We seek to encourage all our clients to print onto FSC Forest Stewardship Council accredited paper, using paper made from well-managed forest products; from 100% post-consumer recycled paper (made in paper mills which are themselves FSC certified); or from ‘mixed source’ papers. We aim for our clients to use the FSC logo on their own publications showing that they are socially responsible.
We endeavour to always be creative in the way we design, to minimize print wastage by using the most efficient way of printing documents to ensure minimal wastage.
Playne Creative positively encourages its clients to use recycled paper grades. Where a virgin fibre paper is required, we will specify an environmentally friendly paper, manufactured from totally chlorine free pulp, that has been sourced legally and sustainably, preferably with FSC accreditation.
We endeavour to use reconditioned cartridges in our office printers and recycle cartridges where possible.
